Medworks, Bristol Health's Occupational Health program, is designed to meet the work-related healthcare needs of employers, offering comprehensive, cost-effective occupational health services tailored to the individual needs of each employer.
 
Our goal is to assist you - the employer - with all of your occupational health needs. We partner with you in your efforts to minimize workplace injuries and exposures and to reduce your overall occupational healthcare expenses. We support and advise you with your day-to-day occupational health compliance issues. Should you ever be faced with the need to respond to a workplace injury or exposure, we are your experts.

Medworks is the employer community’s door to new services and technologies, all offered locally at Bristol Health.  If you have a need or request any medical services, the Medworks staff is your liaison to quality healthcare. Our team will coordinate services, screenings, and health information for you and your business.

Helping you control your cost is one of Medworks’ primary concerns.  By operating on a fee-for-service basis, you only pay for the services you use, and a competitive fee structure will assist you in maximizing your healthcare costs.

Job placement exams, functional testing, physical exams, return to work evaluations, lead, asbestos, cadmium, and silica surveillance exams.

Urine drug testing, evidential breath testing for alcohol, reasonable suspicion urine drug testing.

Immunization Services

Hepatitis A & B, influenza, MMR, pneumococcal, rabies, quantiferon tuberculin skin testing and varicella immunizations.

Onsite Rehabilitation Services

Back evaluation and work hardening, pulmonary function, titmus vision, respirator fit testing, radiology services, and electrocardiograph

Diagnostic Testing

Fully credentialed staff

Care management, ergonomic evaluations, policy development, compliance, independent medical, work-site, and industrial toxicology evaluations

Education Services

Trainings including blood borne pathogen, ergonomics, hearing conservation, loss control-risk, respiratory protection, substance abuse, chemical impairment, and workplace violence.

On-site health fairs, cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure screening, nutrition, CPR classes, and pharmacy education.

CDL Medical Examiner's Certificate

All Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders and Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) holders must provide DMV with a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.

The test assesses your general health and mental and emotional fitness deemed necessary to handle the demands of driving as your profession. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires all commercial divers to be deemed in good health and carry a certificate with them while driving.
