Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our cardiac rehabilitation program is designed to fit your health, current level of fitness and needs. They include education, supervised exercise and support to help you reach the highest level of physical, social and emotional well-being possible for you. Our caring, multidisciplinary teams help you reduce risk factors for future health problems while guiding you back to a healthy lifestyle full of activities you love.

Conditions We Treat

Your doctor may recommend cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation to help you manage and improve many different health conditions. You may benefit from cardiac rehabilitation if you have:

  • Congestive heart failure, a condition in which fluid builds up in your heart due to weakened heart pumping
  • Heart attack, when blood flow to your heart is blocked due to an obstruction in your arteries, causing permanent heart damage
  • Cardiac procedures such as stent placement, bypass surgery, heart valve repair or heart transplant
  • Severe coronary artery disease that causes arteries to be narrowed or blocked throughout the body
  • Arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats that can put you at risk for heart attack or stroke

The Bernie Guida Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center has met strict standards of practice and been awarded certification through the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. 
 

Certified and Knowledgeable Staff

At Bristol Health, all of our pulmonologists and cardiologists are board certified and fellowship trained in their specialties. They have the education and experience you need for better health. In addition, our registered nurses are all certified in advanced cardiac life support and have special expertise in telemetry monitoring so you can feel safe as you exercise and receive care.

We strive to make improving your health as easy as possible with accessible, convenient treatment. That’s why we offer extended early morning and evening hours. You’ll be able to participate in rehabilitation care while still completing your daily activities.
