Investing in the Health of Our Community

Remaining true to our mission of addressing patient needs, Bristol Hospital has evolved over the years to ensure the most current practices, modern technologies and innovative treatments are available to those who rely on us for medical care.

Since its founding in 1921, Bristol Hospital, a not-for-profit institution, has been the grateful beneficiary of community financial support. Your gifts have helped us offer the latest in medical technology and healthcare services.

But progress is never ending, and so, too, is the need for support.

Operation ERgency

The Emergency Center is the front door to Bristol Hospital - constantly being opened each year by over 40,000 patients. Every one who comes through its doors needs attentive care from quality professionals, in a setting designed to meet their individual needs.

Determined to meet the current and future demands of our community, our Emegency Center is expanding and Operation ERgency is underway.

Helping Fight Breast Cancer

Bristol Community Breast Health Project offers women in the Greater Bristol access to education, awareness and financial assistance to cover the cost of a mammogram. Statistics show that approximately  1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. In 2019, an estimated 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 62,930 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer. Your support can help save the life of someone you know.

Brian's Story

It was business as usual for Brian Dehm until he had to undergo an emergency appendectomy. He could have chosen any hospital, but chose Bristol even though he lives in Simsbury. “I knew I could count on the Emergency Department, Drs. Sayre and the surgeons, the nurses, and all the caregivers here at Bristol Hospital when I needed them most. We’re all fortunate the hospital is here, and that’s why I support it monetarily, and as a volunteer.”
