Addressing Our Community’s Needs

Recently, we led a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment to evaluate the needs of all those living in and around Bristol. The purpose of the assessment was to gather information regarding not just health needs, but health behaviors as well. The assessment examined a variety of indicators, including alcohol and tobacco use, chronic health conditions like diabetes and heart disease, and access to care.

The Result

Determined to meet the community’s needs and wish for better access to care, our Board of Directors made the decision to build the Bristol Health’s Medical Care Center, which opened in June 2019. The building houses medical offices, including urology, cardiology, neurology, rheumatology and orthopedics, and have dedicated space for laboratory and physical and occupational therapy services.

The building is the anchor project of a larger downtown Bristol revitalization effort and makes access to multiple services easier and more convenient than ever before.
