Bristol Health is doing the utmost to protect the health and safety of our community. We are continuing to provide routine and emergency care at all our facilities and have made accommodations to best manage the crisis.

  • If you have a scheduled appointment, please contact your provider before coming to our facilities
  • If you are feeling ill, please contact your primary care provider for possible screening
  • If you need emergency attention, call 9-1-1

Celebrating COVID-19 Victories

Bristol Health celebrated a "CODE ROCKY" on the afternoon of April 21, as staff recognized 81-year-old Rosa Pabey of Bristol, a COVID-19 patient. Pabey left the hospital to the applause of staff and to the Rocky theme song "Gonna Fly Now."

Latest Updates, Closings, Restrictions & Announcements

As of April 17, Rehab Dynamics located at 975 Farmington Avenue, Bristol  will be temporarily closed. Therapists wil be relocated to the outpatient therapy office at the Medical Care Center. Calls will be transferred. 

Starting Monday, May 4, the times for the Bristol Health Specimen Collection Station will change:

  1. Collection and testing exclusively for pre-op patients will take place from 8am – 10 am.
  2. Specimen collection for the general public will now take place from 11am – 2pm or until 40 specimens have been collected.
Everyone entering Bristol Health facilities will be screened to ensure it is safe and appropriate for them to enter. Please observe social distancing and keep 6ft apart while waiting for screening.

Outpatient laboratory services located inside Bristol Hospital has reduced its hours on weekdays. It is now open 8am - 4:30pm.

Visitors who arrive to make bill payments or obtain medical records are not allowed to travel to Level E of Bristol Hospital. You can make your payments online by visiting our patient portal section of the web site.
 
The gift shop at Bristol Hospital now has the following hours:
  • Monday - Friday: 10am - 4pm
  • Saturday and Sunday:  Closed
 
​The Bristol Health Counseling Center will now be open from 8am - 5pm
 
The Bernie Guida Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center will be closed to patients until further notice.​
 
Bristol Hospital has put a Compassionate No Visitors policy in effect.

To keep our patients safe, we have made changes to our visitor restriction policy and have adjusted the hours for some of our services. Visit the Visitor Restrictions page for full details.

Keeping Our Community Safe

We are working hard to keep you healthy and safe during this crisis. To that end, we are:

  • Working with local and state Public Health Departments and other key organizations
  • Putting visitor restrictions into effect
  • Canceling or postponing large events
  • Providing testing at our Specimen Collection Stations (pending availability of testing supplies)
  • Monitoring our supplies
  • ​Providing education regarding COVID-19 to the community
