Generations Have Counted on Us; Now Our Future is at Risk

While generations of patients have been able to count on us, Bristol Health faces an uncertain future.

Health insurance companies are paying Bristol Health less than the actual cost of caring for patients, creating an imbalnace that threatens our ability to sustain our operations and provide care to the community. Unbalanced contracts with insurers have direct neative impacts on Bristol Health and can prevent us from:

• hiring the skilled doctors and nurses our patients rely on

• investing in vital infrastructure, such as emergency generators, roof repairs and redundancy systms

• supporting our community, incuding the Bristol Senior Center and Bristol Veterans Council

Though insurance companies play an important role, we need to make them recognize that it is Bristol Health's trained expert doctors and nurses who must make critical decisions about patient care, not insurance companies.

We need a commitment from insurers to work with us as true partners so we can sustain Bristol Health as a community-focused organization providing outstanding care.
