Healthy Aging

Geriatric Medicine

As you get older, your needs, your focus, your goals change. So too should your care. Our multidisciplinary approach to senior care provides you with what you need to continue to live life to its fullest.

Age Well. Age Happy. Live Better.

As you age, your goals, your needs, your routines change, and so must your medical care. As you enter your senior years, odds are you will encounter new problems (from a disability to illnesses). Our focus is to promote healthy aging and prevent disease while at the same time managing your chronic conditions in order to preserve your independence, maintain your function and allow you to live life to its fullest.

Our geriatricians specialize in caring for adults 65 years of age or older, specializing in memory disorders, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, mood and behavioral symptoms that complicate dementia, cognitive disorders in the setting of intellectual disability.

Should I see a Geriatrician?

Every individual is different, so not everyone 65 years or older needs to see a geriatrician. However, most seniors can benefit as our team has expertise in conditions, syndromes and illnesses associated with aging, including but not limited to:

  • Falls
  • Incontinence
  • Delirium
  • Cognitive, mood, and behavioral disorders
  • Side effects and other medication issues
  • Depression

A geriatrician should also be consulted when:
  • An elderly person’s condition is causing significant impairment and frailty
