Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
PFAC’s Purpose
The Patient & Family Advisory Council brings together patients, families, clinicians and Bristol Health staff to improve patient care and experiences. The Council acts as the voice for patients, and family members, working together to safeguard compassionate, quality, patient-centered care.
PFAC collaborates to help shape policies, programs and decisions that affect the care experience. The group operates with Bristol Health’s vision front of mind, “advancing the health of our community through integrated, innovative and individualized care.”
Goals
PFAC members help make improvements to how care is delivered by:
- Providing feedback on health system policies, care practices and patient-facing materials
- Creating strategies for improving patient healthcare quality and safety
- Supporting staff in making changes that enhance patient and family experience
