Your visit to see your cardiologist shouldn't add any additional stress or fear. To make your visit as simple and stress-free as possible, it's helpful to come prepared for you appointment by:

  • Bringing bottles or a list of all of you current medications
  • Having a list of all the medical professionals you see, with contact information.
  • Notes of both your medical history and, if possible, family history.
  • Write down a list of any questions you may have and want to discuss with your cardiologist.

What to Expect 

During your visit, your cardiologist will perform a thorough exam and recommend additional tests if deemed necessary. Some tests that your physician may order include blood work, an EKG or ECG, stress testing, cardiac catherization, and other cardiac imaging.

Your doctor will talk you through the process and work with both you and your primary care provider to determine the best plan of care to address your condition and meet your individual goals.
