Hospital Sleep Study

The Bristol Hospital Sleep Center allows for more personal attention and a focus on a comfortable and restful environment for you. Our private rooms are designed to be quiet and relaxing, making them ideal for assessment and treatment. Our in-hospital sleep study involves an overnight stay at the Center.

How to Prepare

There is nothing scary about taking part in a sleep study or preparing for it. We recommend that, on the day of, you:

  • Follow your normal daily routine as much as possible
  • Try to avoid napping
  • Avoid caffeine
  • Shower before arriving
You should also pack some items to bring along with you, including:
  • Comfortable pajamas to sleep in
  • Toothbrush
  • Change of clothes for the morning

What to Expect

Upon arrival, your sleep technologist will go over everything with you in detail, go over your sleep habits and fill out a questionnaire.

During your evaluation our expert team uses state-of-the-art technology to monitor your:

  • Heart
  • Lungs
  • Brain
  • Oxygen levels
  • Breathing patterns
  • Arm & leg movements

From these results, the medical director and technologists work together to diagnose your condition and provide treatment that can produce immediate results.

Our amenity-rich rooms are specifically designed to be quiet and relaxing, making them ideal for assessment and treatment.

Each room features:

  • New furniture
  • Flat-screen television
  • Private bathroom
We offer a free continental breakfast upon the completion of your sleep study.
