Computer Tomography Scan

Our board-certified radiologists offer safe, low-dose CT scans to help you learn more about your health without invasive tests.

Computer Tomography (CT) Scan:
Detailed Images for an Accurate Diagnosis

Computed tomography (CT) scans use x-rays and advanced computer technology to create detailed images of the body. These quick scans can be used to diagnose or monitor a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Abdominal or chest pain
  • Benign and cancerous tumors
  • Broken bones
  • Traumatic injuries
  • Vascular conditions

At Bristol Health, our low-dose CT scanners help you receive answers about your health safely. Our scanners can also accommodate bariatric patients, helping keep all patients comfortable throughout their tests.

CT Scans in Action

Emergency Care

CT scans provide quick results in an emergency, helping doctors identify injuries and bleeding.

Cancer Care

You may need a CT scan to diagnose or monitor cancerous tumors. Your doctor will use these scans to ensure your treatment is working.

Vascular Care

At Bristol Health, we provide CT cardiac angiography to identify blocked or narrowed blood vessels.

How the Test is Performed

The test is performed  by lying down on a narrow table and comfortably sliding you through the scanner. A computer then creates individual images of your body. It is important to remain still during the exam as movement can caused blurred images.

Your results are then reviewed by your specialist.
