Coronavirus Specimen Collection Stations

To facilitate testing for COVID-19, Bristol Health is operating a Coronavirus Specimen Collection site on the campus of Bristol Hospital. The site location is set up in the parking lot adjacent to 145 Queen St.

The stations will operate 7 days a week from 8am - 4pm. However, hours of operation are based on the availability of specimen collection supplies, so please call our Coronavirus Hotline at 860.261.6855 every day to confirm if our testing facility is open.

Who Can Be Tested

Please contact your primary care provider if you feel ill or are experiencing flu-like symptoms. You must have a lab work order from your provider to get swabbed at our Specimen Collection stations.
 

What You Need to Bring to Get Tested

  • Valid photo ID
  • Your lab order (obtained from your provider)
  • Your insurance card



The Specimen Collection Process



This is a specimen collection facility. Once you are swabbed, your specimen will be sent to a reference lab. You will need to obtain the results from your provider. While at the specimen collection site, you must:

  • Remain in your vehicle at all times with the windows up unless instructed otherwise
  • Follow the specific instructions of the screener
  • When ready, obtain your test results from your provider

The site of the specimen collection is in the parking lot adjacent to the Bristol Hospital Foundation house at 145 Queen St. Click on the pin on the map below for driving directions. 

When you arrive at the Bristol Hospital campus, follow signs directing you to the parking lot. It is mandatory that you stay in your vehicle at all times, unless otherwise directed.
