Parent and Child Center

Strengthening Families

On Aug. 17, 2020 the Parent & Child Center will be operated by the City of Bristol.

Focusing on Our Youth

The Parent & Child Center is now part of the City of Bristol Department of Youth Services (effective Monday, August 17, 2020).  The PCC will now be located in the Youth Services building located at 51 High St in Bristol.

The PCC’s primary focus is on the prevention of child abuse, neglect and family violence. The mission of the PCC includes promoting and supporting healthy families through education and resources that help them understand how to work together to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children to live and grow.

While oversight of the PCC will be taken over by the City, the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC), will remain a program of Bristol Health. The Bristol Health WIC Program will be relocating from its current location on Main Street to a new office at 11 Bellevue Ave in Bristol, which is an office suite co-located in the same building as the Youth & Community Services department. This will help to maintain the synergy between WIC and the Parent & Child programs.
