Bristol Hospital recently celebrated being free of any serious safety events in over a year. Our hospital joins Ingraham Manor who also recently celebrated over a year since its last serious safety event. 

This milestone is a remarkable testament to the quality of services provided to the community. This excellent safety record is a result of the commitment to patient safety from our entire workforce.

Our staff understand that patients rely on us to care for them and keep them safe. The Safety Starts with Me course highlights patient’s expectations from their perspective: 

• Don’t hurt me
• Heal me
• Be nice to me

Every morning staff gather for what we call at Bristol Health a System-Wide Safety Huddle. Departments across the system discuss good catches, safety stories, and any potential concerns and address them immediately. This allows us to maintain our commitment to our patients.
