I had a great team of Dr's when I found the lump in my breast. Dr. Latshaw was the 1st to use the C-word but told me not to worry and think positive because much progress has been made in curing this disease. Next came Dr. Sayre and his team who went through all the paperwork, mammogram and ultra sound and explained everything to my husband and I. Then all the test which scared me half to death but everyone was so nice and explained the procedures to me. Tests came back and I knew I had to have a mastectomy because they found two more small tumors and the large one I found, and said they were cancerous. Not a word anyone wants to hear but the good thing is that it was contained in that one breast.  

The surgery went well and I was out in 2 days with many thanks to my Surgeon and his team. I do want to tell everyone that I had a wonderful nurse named Maureen Lowell who now works in a different part of the hospital.  She was awesome and kept me smiling the whole time I was there. She is a very caring person.
