Compassionate No Visitor Policy

Effective Friday, Nov. 13, due to the increasing number of COVID cases throughout Greater Bristol, a compassionate NO VISITOR policy will go into effect. Compassionate care exceptions for end of life patients will be made on a case-by-case basis by the nursing supervisor. Thank you for your understanding and we will provide updates as this visitor policy is revised.

Visitor Policy During Seasonal Flu Months

Due to the high number of seasonal flu cases being seen in our area, and the concern for the health of our patients, Bristol Hospital is limiting visitor access during the current flu season.

The following changes are in effect through March 2020.
No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed. Exceptions will need to be cleared by the Charge Nurse and Infection Prevention.

Individuals with the following symptoms should not visit:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Runny nose

  • Nasal congestion

  • Diarrhea

If you do need to come to the hospital for an appointment and you have symptoms, you will be required to wear a mask.

Visitors and patients should cover coughs and sneezes with tissues and dispose of them in the trash.
.
Wash your hands frequently or us the hand sanitizers available.

We appreciate your cooperation.
